The Product Launch Tracking Study
The Product Launch Tracking Study (PLTS) is a proprietary study which tracks the sales and inventories of specified products (usually 6-8) through a selected small sample (usually 30-50 locations) The data is collected and reported outside of the normal retail system and is available as frequently as every two weeks, generally within a few days of collection.
A PLTS is not meant for every new product launch, however it is an indispensable tool for major new products. While the data is not projectable to the national level it provides the industries fastest and most accurate insights into the retail marketplace.
